Green Valley is a development managed by the American Nevada Corporation, a land development company and subsidiary of The Greenspun Corporation. Green Valley’s climate and environment
Green Valley has a hot desert climate that gives it extremely hot summers and mild winters that occasionally see snow. The hot season lasts from June to mid-September, with temperatures exceeding 96° on average, but rarely going above 112°. In winter, temperatures can plummet to as much as 30°. The temperature typically varies from 37° to 106° over the course of the year.
The area in and around Green Valley has plenty of plants and wildlife native to the Mojave Desert. Local plant species include dorr’s sage, creosote bush, globemallow, and desert marigold. Animals known to inhabit the area include coyotes, kangaroo rats, iguanas, and tortoises.
